Survival was not the end of my story.
For more than three decades, my life has been touched by HIV/AIDS, profound loss, illness, and recovery. There have been moments I remember clearly, and others I have had to piece together with help from the people who love me.
My husband, Cal, has been beside me through so much of this journey. His love and care are part of the story, just as much as my own determination to keep going.
Today, I am still learning, still creating, and still finding ways to offer something of myself to others.
Pieces of the journey

Childhood
An early photograph—one of the first visible fragments in a life that would hold sensitivity, imagination, and questions not yet named.

Music
Music has long been one of the ways feeling found its voice. This image carries the energy of youth, creativity, and the early shaping of a life in song.

Exploration
Another chapter, another setting: movement, curiosity, and the willingness to keep stepping into the unknown.

Presence
Grounded and quietly alive—this image feels like a later fragment of belonging, rootedness, and the spaciousness that can come after so much struggle.

Love
Some fragments are simple and full of light. This one speaks for itself—a shared life, a shared smile, a presence that endures.

31 years together and going strong
